At least five injured in ballistic missile attack on Ukrainian capital
At least five people were injured as Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital with ballistic missiles on Monday, Ukrainian authorities said.
The Russian forces fired two ballistic missiles at Kiev from Crimea at about 10:30 a.m. local time (0830 GMT), Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk said in a post on Telegram.
He further said both missiles were shot down by the air defense.
Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the debris from the destroyed missiles damaged a three-storey non-residential building in the central Pecherskyi district.
Two out of five injured in the attack were hospitalized, Klitschko said in a statement.
